Led, Not Comfortable

This is something no one really tells you when you choose to follow Jesus when you truly surrender your life and let Him lead.

Your life will become… unpredictable.

There won’t be a neat outline. No clear, step-by-step plan where everything makes sense ahead of time. And honestly, if everything does feel predictable all the time, there’s a good chance you might be leaning more on comfort than on the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Because being led by God will stretch you.

Every time I’ve tried to choose what’s easy, what’s familiar, what feels safe I’ve felt led in the opposite direction. And yes, it can be terrifying. There’s a real fear in not knowing what’s next.

But right alongside that fear… there’s peace.

A deep, steady peace that reminds me: If God is leading me, then He’s with me. Every step. Even when I don’t have all the details. Even when I don’t understand the full picture.

Because the truth is He rarely tells you everything upfront.

Most of the time, you’re walking it out in real time. Trusting. Believing. Taking the next step without knowing where the whole path leads.

And no, it’s not easy.

But it is worth it.

My life looks nothing like I thought it would. And yet it’s better than anything I could have planned for myself.

So if you’re a believer and your life feels uncertain, stretched, and even a little uncomfortable… take heart.

That may not be a sign that something is wrong.

It might just be a sign that you’re being led.
