Find your cohort.
There’s something powerful about being surrounded by people who think like you, dream like you, and are working toward similar things. It doesn’t mean you all have the same journey but there’s a shared understanding that keeps you connected.
For example, if you’re a writer and no one around you writes, it can feel isolating. It can be harder to stay motivated, harder to stay interested, and harder to feel supported in what you’re building.
That’s why it matters.
Being around like-minded people helps you stay focused. They remind you why you started. They push you, encourage you, and sometimes carry you when your own motivation feels low.
Now, the truth is you won’t always find your people easily.
There may be seasons where it feels like you’re doing it alone. But that doesn’t mean your cohort doesn’t exist. It just means you haven’t found them yet.
They are out there.
And sometimes, finding them takes intention. It takes searching, showing up, putting yourself in new spaces, and refusing to give up just because it’s taking time.
When you’re focused and walking in purpose, you begin to understand how important those connections are.
So be patient.
Keep showing up.
Keep doing your thing.
Keep putting yourself out there.
Because the people who get you the ones who will sharpen you, support you, and grow with you are out there waiting.
You just have to find your cohort.
