Let me be sad.
It’s okay for me to feel this way. Feeling something anything is better than feeling nothing at all. I don’t want to rush past my emotions or pretend they aren’t there. I don’t want to skim over what I feel just to appear strong.
I want to process it.
I want to sit with the feeling long enough to understand it, to acknowledge it, and to allow it to move through me. Being sad doesn’t mean something is wrong with me. It simply means I’m human.
Not every day will feel light.
Not every moment will feel easy.
But even in the heaviness, there is something meaningful. It reminds me that this moment is temporary. Feelings move. Seasons change. What feels heavy today will not always stay that way.
And strangely enough, these moments make the good days shine even brighter.
So if I’m sad, let me be sad.
Because feeling sadness means I’m still feeling life.
It means my heart is still open.
It means I’m still human.
